A passion for real food

Louisa's passion for food began when she started baking with her grandmother at just five years old. Since then, she has become an accomplished chef, training in France in cheesemaking, butchery, charcuterie, preserving, fermenting, and most recently she qualified as a chef patissière.

About Louisa

Louisa's idea to create the Farm to Table Kitchen came from her desire to marry her principles of using homegrown food with her skills as a chef. Her catering business has evolved since arriving in France 14 years ago. Her farm Little Black Pig grows an array of fruits and vegetables - including edible flowers! She also raises chickens and the famous porc noir pigs, local to the area which are renowned for their delicious meat.

She is committed to ensuring ingredients are sourced locally, so will always try to find delicious alternatives to any ingredients which can only be found outside of France.

We were so pleased with the outcome of our wedding dinner. The guests commented on the food being extremely fresh and flavoursome, and both myself and my husband completely agreed - especially the garden vegetable tart!! The macron tower we had as our 'wedding cake' was delicious, and it was lovely that Louisa came out to tell us the French tradition of feeding each other on your wedding night. The catering team were extremely friendly too, coming the next day to tidy everything away and leaving us any leftovers to enjoy. Thanks again to Louisa and her team!

16 friends from around the world met in the Gers for a birthday celebration, France profond. We sought an authentic Gascon celebratory supper and were introduced to Louisa Our pre planning and communications were easy and succinct, and on the day Louisa arrived. We could not have had our wedding without Louisa! She guided us through the entire planning process, of not just the food menu but the entire wedding from electricity supply to toilets. No question was too small and she was always ready to accommodate, which was so helpful as we were planning our wedding from abroad. She also found our entire service staff, and everything worked so smoothly over both the wedding day and the lunch on the following day. The food was such a highlight and enjoyed by all. We felt we really sold 'the french dream' to our guests. We also had plenty of delicious leftovers that kept us going through the clear up process.
