A passion for real food
Louisa's passion for food began when she started baking with her grandmother at just five years old. Since then, she has become an accomplished chef, training in France in cheesemaking, butchery, charcuterie, preserving, fermenting, and most recently she qualified as a chef patissière.
Louisa's idea to create the Farm to Table Kitchen came from her desire to marry her principles of using homegrown food with her skills as a chef. Her catering business has evolved since arriving in France 14 years ago. Her farm Little Black Pig grows an array of fruits and vegetables - including edible flowers! She also raises chickens and the famous porc noir pigs, local to the area which are renowned for their delicious meat.
She is committed to ensuring ingredients are sourced locally, so will always try to find delicious alternatives to any ingredients which can only be found outside of France.

It was fantastic working with Louisa and her team on the catering for our wedding day. She provided us with lots of options to choose from (mostly produce sourced from her own farm) and she was even happy to try a new dish out for us. We really enjoyed building the menu together and sampling her charcuterie was a real highlight! Before the wedding the communication was excellent and she visited the location multiple times to ensure that we could make the most of the space. On the day the food was delicious and Louisa's team was both friendly and efficient. The incredible selection of French tarts is something our guests will remember for a long time!

What can I say, Louisa is an absolute gem. I am so glad I found her and was able to book her to cater our wedding. We are a couple, obsessed with food and quality ingredients. And it was essential for us that our wedding weekend featured the best food. We had high expectations, having come from a restaurant and wedding planning background. And Louisa delivered. She customised the wedding day menu to our tastes and quirks, sourced some of the best oysters we have ever eaten, did mouthwatering pintxos for our cocktail hour, made an amazing grazing board, did an array of family-style sharing dishes for our mains, and a just-to-die-for dessert trolley. Everything was impeccable. I absolutely love Louisa's farm to table concept. Her ingredients are either home grown, home reared or sourced super locally. I am in awe of this brilliant woman. It was a joy to work with Louisa from day 1, and on the actual wedding weekend, Louisa and her team surpassed all expectations. I am so so glad we had her as our caterer. I cannot stress enough how amazing an experience it has been. I would not think twice about recommending Louisa. And I will definitely be knocking at her door for future events.
