A passion for real food
Louisa's passion for food began when she started baking with her grandmother at just five years old. Since then, she has become an accomplished chef, training in France in cheesemaking, butchery, charcuterie, preserving, fermenting, and most recently she qualified as a chef patissière.
Louisa's idea to create the Farm to Table Kitchen came from her desire to marry her principles of using homegrown food with her skills as a chef. Her catering business has evolved since arriving in France 14 years ago. Her farm Little Black Pig grows an array of fruits and vegetables - including edible flowers! She also raises chickens and the famous porc noir pigs, local to the area which are renowned for their delicious meat.
She is committed to ensuring ingredients are sourced locally, so will always try to find delicious alternatives to any ingredients which can only be found outside of France.
We were grateful that Louisa focuses on utilizing local produce and inspirations in the menus she creates. Louisa’s cooking gave a true sense of the region and a culinary experience that complemented the beauty of the setting. Our guests and we were amazed at all of the subtle charms and creative variety that Louisa and her team put into every dish that was served.
From the early days of planning to the day of the wedding, Louisa was the most professional person to work with. She and her wonderful team recently catered for our daughter's wedding. The venue was our home and garden and Louisa took care of everything in a very calm and efficient manner. The meal itself was amazing and enjoyed and talked about by all the guests. We did not have to worry about anything. All had been carefully thought out and organised. We would absolutely recommend Louisa any time. Thank You from all The Dixons and our new Japanese Family.

From the warm welcome on your farm and in your kitchen, to your willingness and excitement to create a custom menu, to the many hours you kindly invested in recipe testing and event coaching, to the all star lineup of non-stop deliciousness at the wedding itself, everything about working with you and the Little Black Pig/ Farm2Table has been delightful, from first bite to last. We got married at Chateau Labarthe in May 2025 and selected Louisa to cater for our main Wedding Day but also the two days either side; for a pre-Wedding Day dinner and then a post-Wedding Day BBQ. What an incredible job Louisa and her team did!! Every meal, every dish, every side was perfectly executed - fresh, varied, colourful and most importantly, absolutely delicious. We were seriously impressed - Louisa and her team far exceeded all of our expectations. Every single guest, without fail, commented on just how good the food was over the whole three days. Not an easy feat with some fussy eaters! We’ve been to a fair few weddings and catering for large numbers is always tricky. However, we can honestly say, Louisa and her team produced the best food we’ve ever had at a wedding - think high quality restaurant food, rather than anything like your normal catering food. Really thought out dishes, that both taste and look the part and that are seasonal and local. Couldn’t have asked for more! Louisa is supported by an amazing team, all of whom were friendly, professional and very efficient. They all went out of their way to make sure all of the events ran perfectly. Can’t thank Louisa and her team enough and can highly, highly recommend her!!
A quick note to thank you very much for the delicious Beef Daube etc you delivered to us at chateau Labarthe for the first night of our holiday - it was the perfect dish to have and much enjoyed by all!
